Flaxseed: record supplies expected in Canada

NUR-SULTAN/OTTAWA. Canada's flaxseed stocks could reach record highs at the end of this season due to a lack of export demand. Meanwhile, traders are quoting wide price ranges for Eastern European flaxseed.

Canadian flaxseed is not in demand

Canadian flaxseed is having a particularly hard time competing this season. Not only are the prices for flaxseed from Kazakhstan and Russia significantly lower, but high freight costs are also contributing to buyers from Europe and China turning their backs on Canada.
