MOSCOW/KIEV. It is well known that Russia and Kazakhstan produced more than Canada this season. The further the season progresses, however, the higher production is estimated.

The truth lies somewhere in between

Whereas production in Russia and Kazakhstan broke all records in 2018, the production in Canada and the Ukraine left much to be desired. While market players are in relative agreement over the production results for the latter two, the estimates for Kazakhstan and Russia are revised upwards with each new statement. The analysts of the APK Inform Agency estimate production in Russia at 685,500 mt, the export potential for 2018/19 ranges at 550,000 mt.
