Flaxseed: cleaning facilities are waiting for raw materials

NUR-SULTAN/WARSAW. The flaxseed market is still feeling the delays in shipments due to the closures at the Polish-Belarusian border. Germany imported large quantities from Canada in the first month of the new season.

Delays continue

Polish cleaning facilities report continued delivery delays due to the closures between the Polish-Belarusian border. Not only trucks, but also rail transport is said to be affected, according to market players. For example, one company is waiting for 20 wagonloads of flaxseed, equivalent to about 60 truckloads. Other processors report that last month, out of 100 trucks, only 10 reached their destination on time. As a result, some traders are refraining from quoting prices until the situation improves or the outstanding shipments
