Flaxseed: Canada loses market shares to Kazakhstan

ASTANA/OTTAWA. Kazakh flaxseed exporters are on the advance and are increasingly competing with their Canadian opponents for shares of the Chinese market.

Kazakhstan expands flaxseed exports
In the first three months of this year, the Kazakh flaxseed stocks fell from 571,350 mt to 310,610 mt. The export of flaxseed oil also increased in February 2019 by 40% to 2,500 mt compared to the same month last year.
