LODZ. Depending on origin and supplier buyers are currently getting a broad range of prices for flaxseed from Eastern Europe.

Offers range between 480-520 EUR/mt DDP Germany.
Many traders cannot respond to demands for immediate delivery, since their capacities are more or less exhausted. Those who come to pick up their goods can still occasionally get a bargain, however.

Whipped by exchange rates
Higher prices for raw flaxseed from Russia and Kazakhstan are not only based on losses due to frost but also on developments in exchange rates. Buyers feel this particularly keenly.
Market participants expect prices to drop slightly again in the coming weeks.
