Flaxseed: More than 1 million mt in Kazakhstan

ASTANA/LODZ. Kazakhstan may be facing a drastic oversupply in 2018/19. According to the Ministry of National Economy, flaxseed stocks amount to more than 0.5 million mt.

 

Kazakhstan is breaking all records
According to official estimates, oilseed carry-overs from 2017/18 amount to a total of 1.03 million mt as of October 1, 2018, of which as much as 501,970 mt are attributed to flaxseed alone. Production estimates for 2018 range from 600,000 to 800,000 mt. In any case, flaxseed supplies in Kazakhstan stand at more than 1 million mt for 2018/19.
