Stable prices at a high level
Trading activities for dried figs are extremely subdued. Only few positions are freely available. Prices remain stable at a high level. Offers for the new crop are not yet in sight, it is still too early for that.

Market players are expecting carry over stocks to amount to 2,000 mt towards the end of this season. Current production estimates in addition rank at 72,000 mt. Supplies of 74,000 mt are therefore to be expected for the dried fig the market in 2018/19.
