Eating oil will not be expensive in the festival, government increased stock limits

For festivals, not to be costlier for food, the central government has authorized all states to issue the stock limits on oil and oilseeds till September 2018. The notification has been issued on behalf of the center on Thursday. Prior to 30th September 2017, the states were given the right to install the stock limits on oil-oilseed merchants.

Kharif oilseeds production is expected to decline in the country this year, due to low yielding, the black marketing of oil and oilseeds can be encouraged in the country, in the event of this, oil prices of oilseeds could have increased so that consumers could be killed. In view of this apprehension, the government has applied the stock limit on oil and oilseeds till September 2018.

According to the Union Ministry of Agriculture, the production of kharif oilseeds in the country is estimated to be 20.679 million tonnes, which is 1.722 million tonnes less than last year, as against last year 22.401 million tonnes of kharif oilseeds were produced in the country. Considering the possibility of low yielding oilseed in the country this year, traders had already increased the import of vegetable oil from overseas. In the oil year beginning in November, 2016-17, the total import of edible oil in the country has reached 11.1 million tonnes, while oil was imported 10.7 million tonnes in 2015-16.

Indonesia did not export palm oil for October

Jakarta Indonesia also kept duty on palm oil exports for October. Even in September this tax was zero. Explain that the price of palm oil in Indonesia is still below the level from where the export duty is applicable.

The Indonesian government has placed the reference rate of $740.09 for Palm Oil, which is above $697.26 in September, but this tax level is less than $ 750 per tonne.
