AYDIN. Reports state that dried fruit deliveries are still increasingly being checked for ochratoxin A (OTA). A limit of 10 µg/kg for shipments to the EU could cause tremendous difficulties for Turkey.

 

Exporters step on the gas
The price of Turkish dried figs fell again slightly this week, with the raw fruit price range currently being listed at 16-18 TRY/kg. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, exporters are still extremely busy with deliveries. From the new year on the market should, as is traditionally the case, become calmer.
