Dried figs: total exports almost at last year's level

AYDIN. Turkish dried fig exports are still going so well that total exports since the beginning of the season should soon exceed last year's value. The growing season for the new crop has also been satisfactory so far.

Turkish farmers report that the growing season in Aydin province is progressing well and that there are currently no unusual events that could affect the crop. However, it is noticeable that there are a lot of figs hanging on the trees, which could lead to an increase in small fruits being harvested.
