Dried figs: Tariş is mostly satisfied

AYDIN. Despite lower yields, Turkish dried fig production has once again scored with good quality this year. High credit interest rates are making long-term purchasing planning difficult for exporters.

Quality can score points

Despite lower yields, Tariş is satisfied with this year's dried fig production. As the chairman of the Tariş Fig Union, Ersin Kacar, announced, yields were lower than in previous years, especially in the mountain regions, but the drying period took place without any significant incidents, which is why the dried fruits are of good quality. In order to support its partners, Tariş increased its initial purchase prices and has now bought 3,000 mt of dried figs from them.
