Dried figs: Tariş bought 4,000 mt

AYDIN. According to Tariş, the organisation has paid dried fig producers around 80% higher prices for their raw materials this year. Exports, meanwhile, are picking up speed at the turn of the year.

Demand on the rise

At the end of the year, demand for Turkish dried figs is once again experiencing a slight upswing. However, traders do not want to turn the price screw for the time being. The exchange rate is currently too volatile. Accordingly, export prices are holding at the level of last week, so dried figs, Lerida, no 2 are still at USD 5,810/mt FOB Izmir.
