AYDIN. The TMO's sales announcement has stabilised farmgate prices for dried figs and there should be sufficient export goods available on the market.

Weekly exports rise by 41%

Last week, a total of 1,757 metric tonnes of dried figs and dried fig products were exported from Turkey, which is an increase of 41% compared to the same period last year. In total, 49,689 metric tonnes have been exported since the beginning of the season, almost 20% more than last year. Market players nevertheless reckon that there are still sufficient supplies of dried figs of export quality available.
