Dried figs: solid exports after the turn of the year

AYDIN. Exports of dried figs from Turkey are running satisfactorily in the new year, but cannot quite match the Christmas business.

Turkey focuses on Asia

Continuing high demand from China, India and the USA is helping dried fig suppliers in Turkey to achieve good exports in the new year as well. The Turkish dried fruit trade sees great potential in the Asian region and is working to further promote exports to these countries. Last week, more than 1,100 metric tonnes of dried figs and dried fig products were shipped overseas, which is about 140 metric tonnes more than last year at this time.
