AYDIN. The indicative export prices for Turkish dried figs differ by several thousand dollars. However, the decisive factor here is not size, but quality.

Prices differ by up to 4,000 USD/mt

The better the quality, the deeper buyers who now want to buy dried figs in Turkey have to dig into their pockets. For Lerida figs, No 2 the prices on offer range between 4,500 USD/mt and 8,500 USD/mt FOB Izmir.

Enquiries for lower quality figs and industrial figs are coming in from the domestic market and from importing countries with lower quality standards. Market players are therefore confident that large volumes will have been sold by the end of the season.
