... no current estimates have been published. Fig trees start blooming much later than apricot trees and vines in Turkey. Spring frost is therefore not a problem for them, but rainfall and hailstorms during the drying phase in August/September occasionally poses a risk to the quality of the figs. The Turkish lira is maintaining its low level, but after the recent generous price correction, export prices remain stable for the time being.

Exports significantly higher than last year
With more than 1,000 metric tonnes per week, the export figures for Turkish dried figs and dried fig products are currently above the export volume of last year. In total, exports have reached a result of 55,264 metric tonnes since the start of the season, which is a plus of 17% compared to last year.
