AYDIN. Reports state that trading is more subdued in the dried fig market than last week. A rise has, however, been observed in exports.

High quality and low prices

Turkey shipped 1,233 metric tonnes of dried figs and dried fig products overseas last week. The average export price for whole dried figs ranged at USD 4,018 per metric tonne. This season's total exports range at 42,515 metric tonnes so far, which is 17% higher than last year's total figure of 36,148 metric tonnes. The rise is prompted by better quality and more attractive prices.
