AYDIN. The first dried figs were exported last week. In terms of supply and quality the prospects for this season are highly encouraging. This is also reflected in the export volumes.

The exporters continue to maintain the same prices as over the last few weeks. Spot market prices have, however, declined since the farmers are under pressure to sell because they have to pay their workers and repay bank loans.
