AYDIN/TEHRAN. In Turkey, the first yield estimates for the coming crop are expected soon. At the same time, drought and unauthorised operations are causing water shortages in Iranian growing regions.

Favourable weather conditions are supporting fruit development in the growing regions and the first fruit set is visible on the fig trees.
