Dried figs: Farmers demand prices of TRY 25 per kg

AYDIN. The dried fig producers in Turkey expect farmgate prices to range at TRY 25 per kg. Market players, however, reckon that...

...such a price will not assert itself in the market. Since last week's rains only had a limited impact, the quality and volume of the production is still expected to be good. Depending on the variety and supplier, the export prices for the new crop may vary considerably. No. 2 dried figs are currently trading in a range of USD 4.80-4.90 per kg FOB Izmir and no. 4 at USD 4.30-4.80 per kg.
