AYDIN. Low prices have boosted exports from Turkey this season. Carry-over stocks are, nevertheless, expected to be high.

Prices range much lower than last year

Turkey has shipped a total of 37,459 metric tonnes of dried figs and dried fig products overseas since the start of the season. Contrary to this, the export volume ranged much lower at 31,835 metric tonnes one year ago. Market players are not surprised the exports have surged as prices range as much as USD 1,000 metric tonnes lower than last season.
