AYDIN. Although weather conditions are good in Aydin, rain is lacking and may reduce yields. Fig exports are perfoming well.

Too dry

Daytime temperatures have nearly climbed to 20C ( 68F) and nighttime temperatures drop no lower than 6-10C (42.8-50.0F) in Aydin, Turkey's production hub for dried figs. Although weather conditions are generally speaking perfect for the fig trees, rain is urgently required to prevent drought stress and further complications. Growers are very much concerned over a possible drought, which may reduce production considerably.
