Dried figs: drastic decline in export prices

AYDIN. Suppliers are very much concerned over the drastic decline in export prices. Meanwhile, the TMO continues to purchase dried figs.

Prices decline by up to USD 800 per metric tonne

The export prices have declined by USD 200-600 per metric tonnes. Dried figs, no 4 are even trading as much as USD 800 per metric tonne lower. Problem is that the high prices rendered it unable for the exporters to sell new contracts. They are very much concerned over the slowdown in sales, which has taken place despite the yields and the quality being good.
