AYDIN. Raw fig prices range three times higher than last year and the export prices have retained their high level for now. This has impacted demand.

Prices may vary

Turkey witnessed a surge in the export prices for new crop dried figs last week and the market has retained this extremely high level. Traders are shocked as raw material prices are totally crazy. While smaller sizes ware trading in a range of TRY 35-40/kg last season, they have now risen to an incredible TRY 100-110/kg. Large sizes in good quality have hit TRY 155-180/kg. Wide prices gaps also persist depending on quality and supplier.
