BEIJING. While prices for red kidney beans have skyrocketed in China, the situation is different for black kidney beans. Demand is slowly picking up on the mung bean market.

The market for Chinese black kidney beans remains sluggish with low demand from buyers, which is causing prices to fall further. Nevertheless, the acreage in north-east China has been expanded, which is putting additional pressure on prices.
