MALATYA. After fears were voiced that the dried fruit production would not suffice this season, exporters now agree that there is no need to worry. They are so far satisfied with developments this season.

Exporters are satisfied

This year's production is currently estimated at just 89,000 mt. Fears are circulating in the market that this volume will not be sufficient to meet demand. Exporters are, however, more confident as the carry-over stocks should be taken into consideration. Turkey has over 110,000 mt of dried apricots, which should be enough. The season is considered to be very good.

Inconsistent price movement

Only few large fruits are available. After the prices took a temporary dip, the tide has turned again.
