Dried apricots: Traders expect demand to rise

MALATYA. The upcoming local elections and the weather are causing great uncertainty in the Turkish market. The increase in fixed costs also be no means helpful.

 

Prices are largely stable

Market activities in Turkey are rather subdued. The Prices remain stable on last week’s level. This season’s limited supplies could, however, prompt prices to rise over the next few weeks.

The minimum wage in Turkey has now been raised by 26%. Coupled with the increase in commercial energy costs, many exporters and traders are now forced to calculate with higher fixed costs.
