MALATYA. Unfortunately, a transmission error has occurred for which we sincerely apologise. There have been reports on hailstorms and rain in Manisa. This, however, does not affect the market for dried apricots. Dried apricots from the new crop are, indeed, already being shipped.

Prices trend downwards

Supplies are sufficient, and prices are currently trending downwards. They have dropped since last week. International demand has also slackened this season as becomes evident in the recent export figures.

Declining exports

With a total of 6,156 mt of dried apricots exported, shipments from Turkey have dropped by almost 14% since the beginning of the new season as compared to the same period last year. Exports of whole apricots have, in particular, declined significantly to as low as 5,081 mt. About 4,000 mt of dried apricots have so far been shipped from the new crop.
