MALATYA. Both farmgate and export prices for the new crop have increased noticeably compared to last week. As far as price trends are concerned, the coming weeks will be decisive.

Turkish market players report that farmgate prices for large apricots of the Jumbo and no 1 varieties have increased noticeably, contrary to expectations. According to their explanations, this is not because fewer large fruits were harvested, but because farmers are bringing their new crop to the markets in very measured quantities.
