Dried apricots: harvest workers are scarce

MALATYA. The fact that the harvest for dried apricots coincides with the Islamic Feast of Sacrifice makes it difficult for growers to find sufficient harvest workers. Meanwhile, weather conditions in the growing areas have improved.

Government declares holiday week

The apricot harvest in Turkey began last week in some places, but most growers plan to start their harvest during the week of the Islamic Feast of Sacrifice, which is celebrated from 9 to 13 July.
