MALATYA. The harvest is in full swing in the valleys of Turkey's apricot-growing regions and conditions are ideal. However, exporters are still cautious when it comes to prices for new crop.

First drying phase completed

The weather conditions in the Turkish apricot-growing regions continue to be excellent and it does not look as if there will be any unexpected difficulties in the near future. Temperatures this week are around 20°C at night and 33-37°C during the day. The harvest in the valleys is in full swing and the first drying phase is now complete. Once the pits have been removed, the final drying phase will follow, meaning that most of the new produce that has already been harvested will not be available for the next two weeks. Market play
