FRANKFURT. Dried apricots are used in the baking and candy industry for instance but also they are also popular as snacks or in dried-fruit or müsli-mixes. Originally from Central Asia, nowadays the largest proportion of apricots is cultivated in the Mediterranean region with further origins in China, the U.S. and Australia.
