Dried apricots: farmers far from happy with TMO

MALATYA. Farmers are protesting over the TMO's inaction. Prospects are highly encouraging for dried apricot exports in 2024/2025.

Firm export prices

Temperatures are still excellent for the harvest. They presenlty range at 17-18C (63-64F) at night and at 35-36C (95-97F) throughout the day. 

Prices currently range at TRY 110-120/kg for all types and at TRY 20-25/kg for industrial types. Jumbo prices have, however, climbed to TRY 130/kg for sulphured dried apricots and to TRY 160/kg for natural dried apricots due to exporters showing a huge interest.
