MALATYA. While exports continue at high speed, wide prices gaps still exist for dried apricots in Turkey. Selling fresh apricots is far from attractive for producers in Malatya.

Exports still high

Despite international demand being poor according to industry representatives, exports have continued at high speed. Exports have, in fact, exceeded 17,000 mt since August, which is 16% up on the same period last year. Weekly exports stood at 1,953 mt on 5 October, which is also up on the 1,555 mt registered in the same week last year.
