Dried apricots: active markets and rising prices

MALATYA. The market for dried apricots has been very lively and active since the beginning of this week. The reason is that the New Year holidays are over and more enquiries from abroad are coming in.

High demand drives up prices

Market players report that buyers are already requesting offers, although not many purchases have actually been concluded. Small apricots in sizes 4-8 and industrials have increased by almost TRY 1.00 per kg, as the available goods cannot cover the export requests. This supply shortage already appeared seven months ago and is causing great concern among exporters who are desperately looking for these products.
