BANDAR BUSHEHR. Annual date production ranges at 126,000 mt in Iran’s Bushehr Province. Although harvesting is well underway, the famers are concerned over sales. Russia is a particularly attractive destination for dates and suppliers are intent on ramping up sales here, which is not so easy.

The farmers mainly grow Zahedi and Kabkab dates in Bushehr, for which Dashtestan County is a production hotspot. Harvesting continues until early November.
