Cranberries: Delays and production estimates

MADISON. In contrast to the last few years, the entire US production may be marketed again this year. The prospects for dry fruit prodcution are very promising.

Production to range at 410,050 metric tonnes

The USDA is currently estimating the fresh cranberry production  in the US at 410,050 metric tonnes, which is an increase of 1.3% over last year. Although a nominal decline in dried cranberry production to 170,000 metric tonnes is expected, market players are nevertheless confident that supplies will suffice. In Europe, dried and diced cranberries are trading in a range of EUR 3.34 per kg EXW Poland.
