Corn: Argentina withdraws price demands

PARIS. The US corn market continued to decline, and Argentina's price demands also went into reverse. However, prices increased slightly in the EU and the Black Sea region. This is caused by the rise in the UAH, increasing drought in southeastern Europe and restricted trade from the Black Sea region due to the Orthodox Christmas holidays.

The US corn market delined slightly to 383.75 cents per bushel in Chicago, about 0.75 cents lower than yesterday. Looking at the WASDE report on 10th January, the Bloomberg survey showed that the trade estimate for US corn stocks was 1,776 million bushels, which is 134 million bushels below the last estimate. The trade also expects global corn end stocks to decline by 3.8 million metric tonnes to 296.8 million metric tonnes.
