MANILA/PEKING. Over the last two years China has imported tropical fruits worth more than USD 2 billion from the Philippines. Experts reckoning with a shift in the coconut market and enormous growth potential for desiccated coconuts.

China and the Philippines intensify trade

Despite all criticism of China's territorial conflicts with the Philippines, the China offers enormous potential for the coconut industry. Especially since the Chinese appreciate the taste and aroma of the coconuts the Philippines offer.
