Traders oppose E-nam system in Guntur Chilli Market Yard

Traders and commission agents at Guntur Chilli Market Yard, opposed the newly-introduced Electronic National Agriculture Marketing (ENAM) system. Without creating awareness, it is a sheer waste of time, they said. ENAM has been introduced by the Centre, as a transparent system for buying agriculture products, from anywhere in India. For this, Guntur Chilli Market Yard has been chosen as the model. This will completely erode the middle men business and create a good price for the farmers. However, traders and agents, who are used to all kinds of irregularities in buying and selling agriculture products, opposed the system
