The chickpea market is currently under strong pressure as both domestic consumption and export demand have fallen significantly. This is not yet reflected in export prices this week, but this could change very quickly. Traders who had stocked up on around 10,000 mt of chickpeas during the price increase in August are now facing stagnating demand and increased selling pressure.
