Cambodia as shining star

While production in the Southern Hemisphere is projected to climb by 6%, the Northern Hemisphere is sporting a 13% decline since output has dropped by double digits in nearly all producing countries due to El Niño. Yet, Cambodia is the noted exception as production has risen by an estimated 27%. As figures presented by the Cashew Nut Association of Cambodia highlight the country exported around 790,000 mt of cashews worth USD 1.11 billion to Vietnam between January and September. This is 36% up on the same period in 2023.
