Imports put prices under pressure

Prices for Chinese buckwheat are under pressure. Prices for imported goods are more attractive and domestic demand remains subdued. Thus, slight downward price corrections were also noticeable in March. Conventional hulled buckwheat is currently being offered for USD 1,140/mt FOB Dalian, while offers for organic quality are at a level of USD 1,230/mt FOB Dalian. Meanwhile, prices for hulled buckwheat, 99.5% purity from Poland are at EUR 1.35/kg FCA Poland.
