CHRUDIM. The development of the Czech blue poppy seed market has taken a surprising turn shortly before the holidays.

Last week, blue poppy seeds were to be had for 1.21 EUR/kg DDP Germany still. The comparatively low price level encourages buyers to increase purchases in spite of the upcoming holidays. Traders who did business at lower prices previously now are taking the opportunity to increase prices. Currently, Czech blue poppy seed is being offered at a level of 1.23 EUR/kg DDP Germany.
