CHRUDIM. Delayed shipments are causing Czech traders to adjust their poppy seed prices downwards. In addition, poppy seed imports to Germany have been extremely weak this season.

Despite the significantly larger acreage compared to 2020, the Czech poppy seed crop was only a few hundred tonnes larger at around 29,400 mt. A large part of the crop is affected by quality problems.
