CHRUDIM. The official crop forecast is eagerly awaited by market players; the data should finally be available in the second week of July at the latest. Until then, the market will be dominated by the uncertainty surrounding this year's crop.

Old crop is hardly available

Market players report good demand in the Czech blue poppy market. The continuing uncertainties regarding availability in the new season are making some buyers cautious. There are hardly any positions left in the market from the 2021 crop and the price indications for the remaining stocks are EUR 2.45-2.65 /kg FCA Czech Republic. Those who still have goods are mostly holding back with offers, with the aim of being able to sell at higher prices.
